Provide and promote a free public wireless Internet service to mobile
technology users in public spaces throughout the Town of Carrboro's
downtown district (and eventually beyond).
Provide a forum for wireless Internet technology issues and access
point deployment related to promoting a public wireless infrastructure
in the Town of Carrboro.
To maintain the project at minimal or no cost to Carrboro residents
by making further use of existing (necessary) Town owned network
infrastructure and the volunteer efforts of members of our community. |
Weaver Street Market front lawn (downtown area) offers free
public wireless access - a tocwireless.net project. Bandwidth
