Originally from Arkansas, Celisa Steele now lives in Carrboro, North Carolina, where she serves as the town’s poet laureate (2013 to 2016). Her poetry has appeared in
Crab Orchard Review, Anglican Theological Review, Tar River Poetry, The Comstock Review, The South Carolina Review, Broad River Review, The Sow’s Ear Poetry Review, and other publications. In 2011, Emrys Press published her first chapbook,
